## Argument

During this reporting period I've been on a long summer break (I skipped the equivalent of 2 salary cycles as well), so my evidence is lighter than usual; hopefully that is enough to preserve my rank and not be demoted.

In the brief period that I've been working, my focus has been on hardening the statement-store v1 protocol, reviewing and guiding the implementation of [statement-store v2](https://github.com/paritytech/polkadot-sdk/pulls?q=is%3Apr+reviewed-by%3Aalexggh+created%3A2026-06-16..2026-09-21) and now I'm working on researching and implementing the [Metanode](https://forum.polkadot.network/t/metanode-early-thinking-on-consolidating-node-services/18689).
